Steel Gate Franconia Concrete was founded in 2019 by a crew that had spent years working concrete jobs across Northern Virginia and wanted to do things differently. Not faster, not cheaper - just right. Franconia and the surrounding Fairfax County neighborhoods presented a real challenge: clay-heavy soil, active HOAs, county permit requirements, and winters that freeze and thaw enough to crack poorly built work within a season.
The neighborhoods here - from the older brick colonials near Franconia Road to the townhomes in Kingstowne - have specific needs that a contractor from outside the area would not automatically know. We have poured driveways, patios, sidewalks, and foundations throughout this region and have seen firsthand what happens when base preparation gets rushed or when a crew does not account for the freeze-thaw cycles that hit this area every winter.
